In 2019, John Carroll University Celebrated 100 Years of Athletics. I created the branding for the event to represent a traditional athletic shield that was distinct to JCU. This shield was used throughout campus to brand the celebration.
Magazine
To kickoff the event, we sent our alumni a a 64-page magazine to celebrate a century of athletics at John Carroll University. My colleague Dale Armbruster and I extensively researched the history of Blue Streak athletics, from the naming of the mascot to the effects of World War II on campus sports. We found incredible archived imagery in yearbooks, newspapers, and even old cabinets and assembled a themed “coffee table” piece to tell an in-depth and inclusive story of student athletics.

Gala
I was inspired by the Art Deco movement of last century to tie in the history of the program with a more formal look for the gala.
